Commercial Electrician in Lee's Summit, MO
Lighting controls, pendants, yard lighting and service calls, from our office one town over.
Our Lee's Summit work in 2026 ran from the ceiling to the yard. We put in occupancy sensors and power packs for a lighting-control job, hung pendant lighting, installed an outdoor yard lighting package, and answered service calls across a developer's properties.
The common thread is lighting that is switched and placed on purpose — lights that turn off when a room empties, fixtures that hang where people will see them, and a yard lit evenly enough to work in after dark.

Sensors and power packs, in plain terms
An occupancy sensor notices that a space is in use. On its own it cannot carry a full lighting load, so it signals a power pack — a relay, usually mounted above the ceiling near the fixtures — and the pack switches the circuit. They go in as a set, and where the sensor is placed and how long it waits before switching off decide whether the system works quietly for years or leaves somebody waving at the ceiling. More on our lighting controls page.
Pendants inside, a yard outside
A pendant hangs into the room, so it is seen as much as it lights: the drop height, the spacing and the line a row of them makes matter as much as the light it gives. A yard is the opposite problem — open ground that has to be lit evenly at night, from poles or building mounts, switched by a photocell or a time clock. Our exterior lighting page covers that side.
Lee's Summit, from Grandview
Lee's Summit is our neighbour to the east. Both towns are in the southern part of Jackson County, so a Lee's Summit job is a run across the south side of the metro from our office on Robinson Pike Road in Grandview, not a trip into the city. The towns around it:
- Grandview, MO
- Raytown, MO
- Independence
- Blue Springs

FAQ
Questions from Lee's Summit
Do you install occupancy sensors in Lee's Summit?
Yes. In 2026 we put in occupancy sensors and the power packs that go with them for a lighting-control job in Lee's Summit. The sensor sees that the room is in use; the power pack is the relay that lets it switch a full lighting circuit.
Our sensors switch the lights off while people are still in the room. Can that be fixed?
Usually. It is most often the wrong kind of sensor for the room, a sensor that cannot see the people sitting still, or a time delay set too short. Each can be corrected without replacing the lighting.
Do you take service calls across several buildings for one owner?
Yes. Part of our Lee's Summit work in 2026 was service calls for a developer's properties. One contractor who already knows the buildings is quicker on the second call than a new one on the first.
